    I,f you are looking for something fun to do, The Oldemeyer Center at 986 Hilby Avenue in Seaside has a Square Dance Club called The Sage Stompers which meets every Tuesday Night from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.  Singles and couples are welcome and beginning classes are held on the first Tuesday of every month.  A donation of $2 is appreciated.     If you have been recently diagnosed with Diabetes, an occupational therapist can help you with a number of things including overcoming the fear of insulin injections and helping to identify opportunities for blood glucose levels throughout the day.  A study showed that after six months, A1C (a measure of glucose control over two to three months) had dropped for those who got occupational therapy, and it rose for those who didn’t.

    Less Stress Equals Lower Chance Of Type 2 Diabetes In Men
    Obesity has long been linked with a high risk of diabetes but surprisingly, a study which was published in the journal Diabetic Medicine found that men who are not satisfied with their lives are less likely to develop Type 2 Diabetes, although the same was not found to be true with women.  Life satisfaction may reduce stress, and stress is linked to diabetes risk.  Researchers explain the gender variance by stating that women define satisfaction differently than men.
