    There are a number of DNA testing companies which can screen for anything from cancer to rare diseases.  The latest to launch is a company called GenoPalate which actually tells you what you should and shouldn’t eat, including which vitamins will help you the most.  The service was started by molecular biologist Sherry Zhang who focused on obesity and metabolic health prior to founding GenoPalate, which analyzes more than 100 different nutrition biomarkers.

    Taking Aspirin Daily May Cause More Harm Than Good
    If you are a healthy older person taking a low-dose aspirin every day, you may be doing yourself more harm than good.  A new study which was published in the New England Journal of Medicine found taking aspirin had no impact on prolonging life but it also showed a higher rate of suffering from a major hemorrhage.  The study was large (19,000 seniors) and took place over a four-year span starting in 2010.  Researchers said the results don’t apply to people prescribed low-dose aspirin after

    Apple Watch Comes With EKG App And Fall Monitoring
    Apple unveiled its most recent iPhone and Apple Watch and the latter is looking more like a medical device, adding new heart-monitoring and fall detection apps.  The latest version of the Apple Watch has electrodes and sensors that turn it into an electrocardiogram to measure a heart’s electrical activity and detect heart problems.  The new EKG app could help catch silent killers like a heart-rhythm disorder known as atrial fibrillation that is missed in many patients who don’t have symptoms.
